- ALDUS PERSUASION BITMAP PRINTING
-
- Printing bitmaps (.tif, .pcx, ...) from Aldus Persuasion produces incorrect
- output. In order to repair this problem, the ALDUS.INI file must be modified
- by adding the following lines to the end of the file:
-
- [HP DeskJet 1600C]
- color printer=1
-
- [HP PCL5 Color Printer]
- color printer=1
-
- For more information on locating and modifying this file, please contact
- Aldus Corporation Software Support.
-
- CORELDRAW 3.0 REV. B and 4.0 - SLOW PRINTING
-
- To speed the printing of gradient filled objects in
- CorelDraw 3.0 Rev. B, add the following line to the [CDrawConfig]
- section of the coreldrw.ini file:
-
- UseClippingForFills=0
-
- For more information on locating and modifying this file, please
- contact Corel Corporation Software Support.
-
-
- CORELDRAW 5.0 and VENTURA 5.0
-
- If the file size of the printed file is too large and causes out-of-memory
- error then modify the CORELAPP.INI file [Config] section. change
- "UseClippingForFills=3" to "UsingClippingforFills=1". This drastically reduces
- the file size and the time it takes to print the file.
-
- ---
-
- If you encounter problems with printing bitmaps on a non-Postscript printer,
- try setting the following flag in \COREL50\CONFIG\CORELPRN.INI file:
-
- DumpEntireBitmap = 0
-
- The default value is 1 but some printer drivers may cause system errors if
- this flag is set to 1.
-
- ---
-
- If on-screen text that is placed below a graphic, prints the text on top of
- the graphic, add the following switch to the [config] section of CORELPRN.INI
- file:
-
- "UseTextBand = 0"
-
- When set to zero, each character of text is sent to the printer as a graphic
- object. Leaving the switch at zero decreases quality and speed of printed
- text.
-
- "UseTextBand = 1"
-
- This is the default. Text is printed using text bands rather than graphic
- objects.
-
-
-
- AMI PRO VERSION 3.0 PATTERN FILLS
-
- To print objects with pattern fills correctly, add the following line to the
- [AmiPro] section of the amipro.ini file located in the Windows directory:
-
- DefOptions1=2
-
- For more information on modifying this file, please contact
- Lotus Development Corporation Software Support.
-
-
- PAGEMAKER 5.0 HIGH QUALITY OUTPUT
-
- If pictures printed in the high quality mode appear to have faint grids or
- lines through the image, than select the normal print quality mode to correct
- the problem.
